Diaper Bags: Functional and Fashionable - Part 2 of 6

Coach Mini Signature Multifunction Tote

This was the first diaper bag that I used (mine was black). I heard that employees at my preferred mall referred to me as The Mom With The Coach Diaper Bag. Yes, I know, I was spending too much time at the mall. But with my first little one, it was a safe outing that the Wisconsin winter weather couldn't affect.

I loved this bag from the first moment. It was so pretty and had all of the compartments I needed to organize my son's items. It also fit who I felt I was to a tee. But I quickly saw drawbacks to focusing solely on style. The fabric on the outside of this bag really attracted dirt...and it sunk in quickly and had to be spot cleaned delicately. It also had to be carried on one shoulder at all times which was difficult once my son started to pack on the pounds. The other flaw with this bag was that the stitching on the handles began coming out after only 6 months of use. I sent it back to Coach to have it restitched and then got another few months of use before the probably resurfaced...I ended up returning it for store credit.

Let's face it, although I remained an individual who took care of herself, I was first and foremost a mother...one who didn't want to spend her time frequently spot cleaning a bag when she could be reading That's Not My Puppy for the thousandth time to her child. So I purchased a...
