Next up on my list of art supplies to share are Stockmar crayons. These crayons are different than your Crayola set as they use beeswax as a binding agent which lends an almost transparent color that is similar to that of watercolors.
There are a lot of interesting things children can do with these crayons such as layering colors and creating stained-glass-like projects to hang in windows. The colors are brilliant and very calming.
Stockmar crayons come in sets of 8, 12, and 16. In addition, their block crayons are sold in sets of 8, 12, 16, and 24. The block crayons are perfect for little hands as well as older artists looking for wonderful shading and fill crayons.
Stockmar crayons are available at treasureboxtoys.com.
