Wouldn't it be fun for your child to look forward to all sorts of special activities this summer such as a trip to the zoo, a ride on a boat, a visit to a strawberry patch to pick a pint, a family vacation or a picnic in the park?
And how about at the end of summer when the weather is cooling down, you're doing your back to school shopping, and the leaves are beginning to change color...wouldn't a chart of all of your summer fun that you could glance at make it all a bit more bearable?
I found these great printable sheets on wondertime.go.com that I wanted to share. You can download and print the originals from these links: Summer Fun WANT TO DO List and Summer Fun DID Chart.
The examples above will be on my family's list of to-dos this summer and I hope yours is full of memory-making activities as well.
And remember to keep it simple...your kids are more likely to remember getting unexpectantly poured on at Disney World and running around looking for an umbrella to purchase than they will staying at an extravagant on-site resort with an expensive 5-day pass. I speak from my own soggy personal childhood experience.
