Sherpani

I'm new to Sherpani having just discovered them a few weeks ago. They remind me of a cross between Life Is Good and The North Face...taking the best from both. The colors of their products soften them a bit, but don't let the delicate design fool you, these carriers and bags are built to last and here to stay...they'll just look good doing it!

Shown here is the Sherpani Rumba Superlight carrier (it also comes in an original Rumba style for heavy hiking). I like this carrier because it isn't really bulky and certainly isn't heavy weighing only 4 pounds, 8 ounces. It also features an exclusive Five Point Chest Plate that prevents slouching and holds your baby upright comfortably and securely with padded foam and five security straps. I think this is the ideal carrier for carrying your child around town or on weekend getaways you don't want to bring a stroller on. I can see myself using this on weekends in Chicago and weekly farmer's market trips!

My other favorite product by Sherpani is their Meta bag. Again with the great colors and ditto on the utilitarian usability...this bag is sure to become a favorite staple! It's very light when empty and boasts a TON of space. This bag is great for carrying to the gym, for girl's only weekend trips (it comes with a separate toiletry bag), or for day trips.

Tomorrow I'll be using my Meta bag when my husband and I take our children on The Lake Express ferry across Lake Michigan for a day of blueberry picking. I'll be able to pack all sorts of snacks, sweatshirts, a camera, sand pails and shovels and still have room for all of the driftwood and rocks my children treasure throughout the day and want to bring home!

Visit sherpani.us to see their huge variety of bags. Their products start at $19.95 for a small shoulder bag while the Rumba Superlight carrier retails for $159.00 and the Meta bag sells for $69.95.
