As many of you know, I've joined the fight to save handmade toys! I'm a member of the Handmade Toy Alliance which is actively working to have some much-needed improvements made to the Consumer Products Safety Improvement Act.I've asked you to do your part by writing your Congress Person and Senator. But there is one other thing you can do...you can take the handmade pledge: "I pledge to buy handmade for myself and my loved ones, and request that others do the same for me."

What a great idea. When my son was younger, we attended a Waldorf school here in Phoenix and all the toys were so wonderful, most of them handmade -- some of them even by us!
