Old School Stationers

I've said it before and I'll say it again...there's nothing like an old letterpress! For special birthdays, meaningful thank yous and sympathy cards, I ALWAYS give a card made on a letterpress. And thankfully, I have people in my life who share my passion and appreciation for the art...so I also receive them. There's nothing like feeling the indentations and seeing the carefully chosen colors of a hand-pressed piece. So it is no surprise how much I adore Old School Stationers!

Ben is the artist and letterpress guru while Amy has the eye for color and design...the perfect marriage, both inside the studio and inside their home! They began their business during the summer of 2003 with one botanical line of cards. The response was strong and as a result, many other inspired collections have followed...along with other forms of presentation such as journals and wall prints that arrive ready to hang!

My favorite collection for children is Animal Portraits, followed extremely closely by the whimsy shown in Creature Feature. Both collections would be darling hanging in a nursery, bedroom, and playroom! What a treasure a hand-printed piece would be...and how eye catching the colors would be for a child!

But why let the children have all of the fun?! I love the Camping Circa 1960s and Leaves and Trees for adults. Adults like myself...and a certain someone in my life who will be receiving a piece for his upcoming birthday...but I can't name names in case he's reading. Oh no, I've given too much away already!

To see all of the beautiful designs by Old School Stationers, visit their online home at oldschoolstationers.com. To purchase, visit their Etsy storefront where cards are $8.00 and wall prints are $42.00.
